Enable Property "Maximum execution time" for DQM in Reporting and Framework Manager Governors

The feature is for Cognos Analytics on Cloud and Prem.

 

Property "Maximum execution time"  in Cognos Reporting and Framework Manager Governors works in CQM mode. It does not work in DQM mode, This property need be tuned to work in DQM mode.

Additionally, the property is available for user to configure adding a time limit in Reporting and Framework Manager Governors for both DQM and CQM, but further testing fold that the property is not functioning in DQM, only works for CQM.

 

Many customers have switched from CQM to DQM, expecting the features working the same way as CQM. As there is no document telling this property does not work for DQM, otherwise we would evaluate further if to switch from CQM to DQM..

 

Suggested solutions:

Short term: document that the property is not working for DQM in both documentation and on product, or disable the property for DQM. 

Long Term: make it work the same way as the property name suggested both for CQM and DQM.
