Ability to deploy Cognos Custom Authentication Provider in a Web Container

JDA Common Infrastructure Services (CIS) provides common services that are used across JDA product suite. Security Services is one of the services for Authn and SSO. In order to use CIS APIs for validating credentials (provided by the user at the time of login), we need a request/response object.

For example: CISLoginContext lc = new CISLoginContext("TestApplication",req,res);
lc.login();

Here req and res are HttpServletRequest and HttpServletResponse objects and “TestApplication” is application name. Once we are able to login, CIS registers a session for that user in its registry. With the current Cognos Custom Adapter we are unable to invoke the API as shown above (no request/response available via adapter) and hence unable to register a valid user session with our CIS.
