Limit the no.of report output versions that can be saved in content store

our user community is new to cognos as we are migrating from business objects to cognos. All of the report output versions are saved in BO for some reason in the BO file system. we would like to limit that capability in cognos so users are forced to save their reports to external file system that we have configured. The 2 options that i have discussed in PMR are

1. Disable the save option in cognos connection for all public folder reports.
2. Limit the no.of report outputs saved to each report

    This request will not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme is aligned with our multi-year strategy. We will continue monitoring feedback for this request through activities such as voting.
