Start Dynamic Cubes via an Event or Job maintenance after Cognos services have started

Customer has asked:

""By default dynamic cubes are started when the Query Service is started. This could cause a problem when there are several dynamic cubes started at the same time. Virtual cubes could be started under this default configuration; once a base cube starts it sends a trigger. The trigger is trapped by an event or job that in turn starts the virtual cube.

However a better method would be to start the base cube via a maintenance job. The job can start the base cubes in the order best determined by the administrators that would make best use of resources against the database and Cognos application servers.

There are three conditions of which the dynamic cubes need to be started; first when the computer is booted up second when the Cognos service is started last when the query service is stop/started.

How to trap this condition of when the query service specifically is initiated?

Suggestions:

1. Add a new EVENT condition to trap when Cognos services are started on one or any server

2. Add a task in Event Studio to allow running cube maintenance directly (can be done in directly via jobs this need is subordinate to the prior suggestion)""

Customer needs a way to trap when the Query service is started then start the dynamic cubes in a predictable and controlled way.
