Cube designer: Dimension short cuts renameable like Framework shortcuts

In cube designer, I have many date fields in many facts and all of them have different names, everything cant be called "Date".
If I change the name of a dimension that resides in a cube, it changes all the other dimensions in cubes, therefore, I have to duplicate the dimension.

In my CD model, I have 18 duplicated date dimensions to reflect what they represent. IE "Order Date" "Ship Date" "Return Date".
In order to have distinct names, I am forced to duplicate the dimension and name it appropriately.
However, Frame Work Manager, I can create a short cut of a query and name it what I want, and use join it to a fact. This process allows me to have one query and many short cuts. When I make a change to the referenced query, date in this example, all the short cut references also reflect the change.

Contrast Cube Designer: When I make a change to the date dimension and want it reflected in all date dimensions, (and why not), I have to edit 17 other dimensions with each and every change. This is tedious and error prone.

Please enhance Cube designer with the same ability of creating true short cuts of dimensions that can truly have their name changed.
