Active Directory as a Datasource

We use AUDIT + AD data to look at the environment utilization. Having Active Directory details within the reporting environment helps us connect to the users and their managers readily (with the email or phone info available in AD). If we see long periods of under utilization, we check with the user and remove them from the cognos license group. It helps us manage our license inventory effectively.

To serve this purpose, we were using Cognos VVM to connect to our AD server and used it as a datasource. With VVM being a deprecated datasource in Cognos Analytics, We would like to see if AD can be added as a datasource to Cognos 11.
