Installation progress details in Silent installation

Hi Team,

 

Recently i used congos 11 analytics server installation on our premise and used Command line procedure as silent installation with response file. I observed that while installation it is not giving any progress of installation procedure. Can we have any thing progress display like copying files installation 10%... 20%..... 50%.... 100% finished and finally it has to give URL of cognos analytics page at the end of installation.

 

Any such kind of progress in the silent installation would be a great to know whether application installation is going or hung state.

    Finally, I have succeeded with unattended installation and post tasks using a batch file.

    A silent installation of e.g. FM involves some post installation tasks like copying our cogstartup.xml to the configuration folder and therafter starting cogconfig.bat -s.
    The command line procedure as silent installation with response file does not work if it is started within a batch file, my still open case for this is TS001932311.
    And BtW, the only way to se that the installation is ongoing is to look in Task Manger and find these three processes: ca_installer_win_2.0.exe, javaw.exe, waca-analytics-bi-exe.
    This new way to do unattended install should be completely redesigned.
