Data Modules Relinking View To New View With Different Name

Currently we have test environment and production environment for both the database and Cognos , Views that are being created on test database have a different name than the ones on production . Users are creating data modules on test server using the names on test environemnt and then ask Admins to publish views & modules to Production . When doing so the view names are renamed by admins giving them more meaningful names and by doing so the module is not working any more .
