Customize data labels on dashboard

We would like the ability to change the label of a data item that is displayed on the dashboard the way we can change the label in the report authoring environment.  This will authors to create cleaner looking dashboards when using data items that have long descriptive names.

    Very important and needed for end user adoption. It is in reporting and should not be hard to put into dashboards

    Changing of label name in case of dashboard creation must be implemented as soon as possible as it will help lot of business users to show the fields on dashboard as per their requirement.
