Merge queries and variables when copying objects between reports

If you copy objects from report A to report B in new version of Cognos, it always creates new assets when the name of queries or variables matching on both reports.

 We are facing this problem when more than one developer creates the report or when the developer wants to merge parts from different version of the same report. It always creates new queries and variables with number suffix (e.g. q_table -> q_table1).  It takes a lot of time to clean-up the final version of report.

Currently we have to use external tool (DRU) to switch the reference of object to query or variable and then we need to manually clean the report definition.

    This feature is not currently being considered and it's not on our roadmap. IBM will continue monitoring this request through public voting.
