Provide live/refresh schedule connection types to excel file uploads feature and allow users to create prompts in Dashboards

  1. Releasing many newer versions every year since 2015 is waste without thinking of adding live/schedule refresh options for excel file uploads like Tableau. This is where Cognos is mainly lagging behind because many of the excel customers creating their stuff on Tableau because its providing live connection.  first please do think about this live connection to excel is not at all a big challenge/task for you guys i think IBM>Tableau.
  2. and one more request in dashboards remove the filters just replace these filters with prompts like dropdown/checkboxes/radio button etc. like we have in prompt pages in report studio as per my knowledge without these different prompts options a dashboard is waste how many versions you release all your hard work is going waste or you are encouraging other funny tools to grow customers. 

 

Cognos can do any kind of reports but not Tableau.. but why are you giving chances to others  i don't understand.

This is my final idea to make Cognos as popular as Tableau/Power BI is simple ==> Just make this tool as easy download and play to users that's it..

you no need to advertise all the data science ppl use for their analysis they make this tool popular for free of cost..
