Copy report without assigning new CAM ID

Our team uses a folder within Team Content (ex. BreakFix) in production to work on fixes and enhancements to existing reports in other Team Content folders (ex. Source) in production. We copy the report from Source folder to BreakFix, make the updates to the report in BreakFix, and move the updated report back to Source. This causes any report views which were linked to the report in Source to break. We have reports which have 40+ report views with saved prompts and to re-link each report would be very time-consuming.

There should be an option to copy the report without creating a new CAM ID; ideally the option would be limited using a capability which could be turned on for specific user roles/groups.
