IIDR (CDC) is designed to work with a Type 2 JDBC driver. This driver is does not support WLB for DB2 purescale

RBC is currently building a Master Data Hub on DB2 PureScale, which will host up to 17 databases. All databases will receive data replicated via IIDR from source systems such as DB2 iSeries, DB2 on AIX and SQL Server on Windows. Our Target IIDR (CDC) Instances (datastores) are created on a separate Linux server, which connect to DB2 PureScale on the Master Data Hub.
IIDR (CDC) is designed to work with a Type 2 JDBC driver. A Type 2 JDBC driver does not support Workload Balancing (WLB). Only a Type 4 JDBC driver supports WLB, so our deployment of IIDR does not work when WLB is Enabled. This becomes an issue when the workload needs to be balanced (such as when multiple source systems run Batch at the same time at night). With 17 source systems, this is a problem needing a certified solution that enables DB2 PureScale to balance the load.
