CDC does not support filestream filegroup or memory-optimized filegroup

Unknown log record type and subscription fails.

We were able to reproduce an error similar to the one you are receiving by mirroring a table that uses a filestream filegroup. At this time CDC does not support filestream filegroup or memory-optimized filegroup. It causes this type of exception when reading from the online log/backup log and the Unknown Block Type exceptions seen. Our suspicious is that you are not seeing this issue in DEV/UAT because you are not replicating the exact same data. You would need to remove the memory optimized filegroups or filestreams for replication to be successful. We do not have a timeline when the product will start handling these block of data correctly. Once the above has been addressed our recommendation is to still upgrade to 11.4. There have been many improvements and defects addressed since 11.3.3.3.x
