Graceful recovery from any error with /tmp in install of CDC engine on Linux/Unix

Currently the installer scripts for CDC on Linux and Unix uses /tmp by default for unpacking objects deposited on the server at the start of the install process. The installer deals gracefully with the case that /tmp does not have enough free storage by attempting to use the installing user's home directory and if that does not have enough free storage, the script ends gracefully with a prompt to the user to set environment variable IATEMPDIR to point to a folder with enough free storage.

If the /tmp directory cannot be used because of some other error such as insufficient permissions, or it is mounted with noexec option, the script fails with a misleading error message which does not describe the cause.

The installer scripts should be enhanced so that other reasons that preclude the use of /tmp are handled in the same way as insufficient space and also to prompt the user to explicitly set IATEMPDIR if they would like to specify their own location
