Subscription maintenance in flight as add table, table error, set full refresh flag and etc.

We are testing CDC for DB2 z/OS as mainly producer of data replication to another CDC engines as kafka and oracle, so to much cdc admin issues is happening here, for example:

  • when just one table of subs receives a error the entire subscription is stopped

  • For set refresh flag for just one table we have to stop the subscription and wait the full refresh when the start command is executed, so the latency to another tables is increased during this period.

  • Have to stop the subscription to add new table and wait the full refresh of it when the start command is executed.

    Thanks for raising this IDEA. We have reviewed the suggestion and agree this is a valid requirement for inclusion in future release. The work is not yet committed. We will also monitor for more customer demand to help us prioritize in the future.
