Replication from PostgreSQL DB with dashes in a db name

The problem was classified as design limitation.
We can't start replication from PostgreSQL with dashes in DB name. During adding a new subscription, cdc agent is trying to create a replication slot , named SUBSCRIPTION_NAME + DB_NAME + USER_NAME +ETC,

but PostgreSQL doesn't support dashes in replication slot name


Error creating private replication slot for susbscription TEST. Failed with exception A SQL exception has occurred. The SQL error code is '0'. The SQL state is: 42602. The error message is:

ERROR: replication slot name "test_db-name-prep_user_name_private_cdc" contains invalid character

Hint: Replication slot names may only contain lower case letters, numbers, and the underscore character.
