Workspace Replication: Change Data Capture

Tolerance for alter table add/drop column for Oracle

We use table -> table replication.

If there is a common alter table add column change the replication goes down and we have to update source / target table definition, stopp all subscriptions, have to set a bookmark and after that we are able to start replication again.

We ask for a feature that these steps should be done by replication automatically.

Also we use DML row selection / filtering and other transformation capabilities, so we still need these features.

Therefore the available schema replication is not an option for us.

    IBM Update

    Thanks for filing this requirement. We think that the requirement is valid but the work is not prioritized at this point. We will revisit this requirement as part of our planning cycles.
