Workspace Replication: Change Data Capture

transaction log backup compress and encrypt on SQL Server

currently we are experiencing replication issues such as the one in PMR no TS009339747 with the error the transaction log backup is compressed or encrypted. IBM Infosphere Data Replication does not support compressed or encrypt.


currently, why log compress? because to speed up the process of moving logs from production to DRC because the logs are very large so they are compressed and this process is run every day


because this is a high issue so impact to we can't go live to production.

can it be enhanced for CDC to be able to read or supported compressed or encrypt logs on sql server?

    IBM Update.

    Thanks for filing this requirement. We think the requirement is valid but the work is not prioritized at this point. We will revisit this requirement as part of future Replication portfolio roadmap planning. In the meantime we will appreciate other customer votes and comments as this will help us with future prioritization.
