Event ID 6645 Conundrum

Ideally every CDC Event ID should be unique and have a Unique description or Event Text.

What we noticed is that the event ID 6645 could mean any of the following scenarios:

1. Exception occurred during replication.

Exception at continue reading

IBM Data Replication identified that no data was returned from the database for the query "SELECT REFERENCE_INDEX, FILE_NUMBER, FILE_INCARNATION FROM V$ASM_ALIAS WHERE GROUP_NUMBER = ? AND PARENT_INDEX = ? AND LOWER(NAME) = LOWER(?)" with parameters "4, 67108864, oractce0". The possible reason includes having the files "+CLLITC17_DG_ORA_ARCH_01/oractce0/archoractce0_2_121793_949498881.dbf" removed from the system. IBM Data Replication will have to be able to isolate data in the metadata for the query "SELECT REFERENCE_INDEX, FILE_NUMBER, FILE_INCARNATION FROM V$ASM_ALIAS WHERE GROUP_NUMBER = ? AND PARENT_INDEX = ? AND LOWER(NAME) = LOWER(?)" in order to continue.

2. Exception occurred during replication.

Exception at continue reading

A SQL exception has occurred. The SQL error code is '0'. The SQL state is: 08006. The error message is:

[CDC][Oracle JDBC Driver]No more data available to read.

3. Exception occurred during replication.

Exception at continue reading

A SQL exception has occurred. The SQL error code is '28'. The SQL state is: HY000. The error message is:

[CDC][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-00028: your session has been killed

ORA-00028: your session has been killed.

    This is absurd Alex.

I am not asking you to handle exceptions on any of my source code.

It is asked of you to consider not tagging two different issues to one Event ID.

It is of common sense to see the nature of issues and tag them individual unique Event ID

IBM Update: Thank you for submitting this enhancement request. We have reviewed it. The handling of exceptions are from the database and not under CDC's control. Therefore, we will not be using any resources to resolve this request.
