Replace DB Link between Downstream and Prod Database for 19-C TDE through IDR CDC

AS a part of 19-C TDE through IDR CDC, it uses DB Link between Primary and Downstream  to call the Dictionary Build back to the Primary. IDR currently utilizes the DB link option to make the process of issuing and retrieving the StartSCN from a new Dictionary BUILD call when establishing a start position for Capture configuration when needed.

 

SBI Bank’s ISD (Information Security Team) has declined use of DB Link to Production data base and this is a serious implication on account – Bank has mandate to move to Oracle 19c with TDE and this can not be achieved with current CDC implementation.

 

We urgently request enhancement to replace DB Link between Downstream and Prod Database with alternation solution – this is a big show stopper at this time for SBI Account
