CDC Capture Agent Data Source Db2 requires a functional RACF Userid and Password

In order to establish connectivity to the CDC Capture Agent data source (Db2) on zOS from the CDC Management Console via the CDC Access Server. This requires credentials which are a functional RACF userid and password. If the RACF password for the associated account expires this will impede the connectivity from the CDC Capture Agent to Db2 and will inhibit the administration and execution of the CDC Subscriptions.

Is it possible to implement key exchange authentication / certificate exchange that would negate having a functional RACF userid with a password?
