Easy way to update oracle user password after password rotation

Currently updating password and saving the configuration CDC takes a lot of time as there are lot of validation doen backend even though only password is changed.
Understand any change in the tool will trigger entire validation and very much dependant on activities on source database and can cause downtime of x number of hours depends on query running in source database.

 

We have no control over password change.Propose IBM to provide easier option to change password which does not require any extended validation.
