Update:
Regarding A possibility to manage or set the bookmark of a subscription from the access server. Now it can only be set at the source locally. This would simplify the process of upgrading replication engine software.
We plan to address the requirement in a future release. We will provide more updates as we complete our planning.
IBM Update.
Regarding:
"A replication engine should automatically continue running on a second server or instance. Just like the replication engine on the mainframe does."
We agree the above is a valid requirement. We will accordingly add this as a candidate for further prioritization.
Regarding:
"

We also agree that the above looks like a valid requirement. At this point, we would like to see additional (more) customer feedback requesting similar to help us with future prioritization.
This IDEA is the follow up of previously created IDEA CDC-I-701 where IBM CDC team helped ABN AMRO reduce the downtime when doing the upgrade on the Kafka agent. However this workaround requires a lot of manual procedures. Hence this request from the customer. If you have questions and need clarification feel free to reach out to me.
