We need the Oracle Instant Client to be supported by CDC Replication Engine.

We are requesting IBM official support for the Oracle Instant Client with CDC Replication.

These items have been identified by IBM as potential exposures with the Oracle Instant Client:

 - No official support for CDC with Oracle Instant Client. Oracle Database Client is requirement for CDC replication.

- Oracle Instant Client is not tested by IBM with new CDC releases or fixes

- No /bin path under Oracle Instant Client directory which CDC requires with ORACLE_HOME

- Possible missing OCI Libraries used by CDC  FastLoad feature

- Does not include JDBC Driver

- Does not include utilities such as SQLPlus which is used to change Oracle password periodically for compliance requirements

- Does not create some default folders for resources such as tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora used by CDC

  Official support of the Oracle Instant Client would need to address these requirements.
