User able to create Duplicate connections in Projects Page.

Whenever user logged in to ICP4D console, in projects area when user try to import a connection for the first time it'll have proper connection name associated with it.

Again the same user/different user who has access to the same project which we imported a connection, can able to create a similar connection with the same exact name.

So this would create a confusion to chose which is actual/genuine connection.


Note: - As a follow up with IBM team over a support ticket (TS012641860) confirmed that this is working as expected but here the actual problem is a system or project it shouldn't allow a duplicate or identical name.

    I just wanted to let you know that we found a solution. We can use the "Duplicate asset handling" settings option under the "Platform assets catalog" catalog to prevent duplicate connections from being created.

    Hi Vijesh, we would like to bring to your attention an ongoing customer-reported issue (ticket TS021293269) involving the creation of duplicate connections in CPD 5.1.1. Feedback from Support and Product Engineering indicates that addressing this behavior will require a product enhancement.

    This corresponding enhancement request has been tracked since May 2023, and has been no visible movement. To ensure transparency and to align expectations, we are seeking clear guidance on the current status and anticipated plan for this enhancement. This information is important for us to provide accurate and consistent communication to the customer.

    We raised this CPDIDEAS-I-1633 Enhancement ticket one year ago but it still hasn't been implemented. can you please let us know in which version will it fix.

    Hi Vijesh, This Aha is in "Future consideration" since May 2023. Another customer is reporting same problem in ticket TS019023001. When can we expect this feature to be available?
