Data Stewards need the ability to import and attach comments to columns

Would like the ability to import and attach comments to columns, both from the database directly and from a spreadsheet with the table name, column name and comment. There is sometimes relevant info in the database comments and our testing has shown that (for Oracle at least) the comments on columns are not imported. Whether there is a comment in the database or not, we would like to be able to directly attach comments to the column assets, *but do it in bulk* as opposed to having to do it through the GUI one column at a time. A good example of why we would want to do this would be to add a comment about “ETL process update date” in a data warehouse table. This requires some specific notes in a number of particular tables, that would not make sense for a generic “term” to hold the annotation since it is specific to the physical implementation.

Hello, support for editing comments/descriptions in MDE is on the roadmap and should come within the next 12 months.

Hello, column descriptions are already imported by MDI, missing piece is MDE to allow to edit descriptions.
