Hi Duc, thank you for submitting this idea for IKC. We are actually planning to add a new platform permission to control ability for a given user to add assets from governed catalogs to project for a different use case, though I can see that we can expand that to both governed and ungoverned catalogs. For example, this is how it may work:
There'll be a new platform permission, say, "Add catalog assets to project" that can be added to a CPD user role.
Users with this permission will be able to add assets from any catalog to projects. Basically the behaviour today.
Users without this permission will NOT be able to add assets from any catalog to projects. They'll see a greyed out button instead.
If users don't have this permission, they'll need the CPD admin to add this permission to a CPD user role assigned to the user.
Will this approach work for this customer?
Separately, we're also evaluating a general request access to data flow on the request side.
Regards,
Susanna Tai
