Idle session timeout should be dynamic for active session.

Currently, the length of time until a user's session expires is controlled by the TOKEN_EXPIRY_TIME parameter. But its not considered the active session correctly if user working on multiple browser tabs.

For example, if TOKEN_EXPIRY_TIME is set to 15 minutes:

  • Browser tab1 opened at 1PM and idle.
  • Browser tab2 started at 1:10 PM and user actively working on something.

User will automatically logged out at 1:15 PM with "Error 401: Verification failed: The Token has expired on 1:15 PM"; without honoring the active session activity on tab2. User will lose all the work that they are actively doing on browser tab2.

Idle session timeout should be dynamic for active session just not only depend on TOKEN_EXPIRY_TIME parameter.
