Display logical names of columns in the overview of data assets in a catalog.

The Data Assets screen in the catalog has a list of columns, with column descriptions and business terms, and I would like to be able to display the logical names there in a separate box.

I proposed the idea of using the description or business terms columns, but received the following comments from the customer.

  • They want to use the description field to write descriptions.
  • In the customer's environment, logical names and business terms don’t match (multiple different logical names belong to one business term), so we want to use the business term field as it is.
  • The idea of naming lower-level business terms with logical names and associating the real business terms with higher-level related artifacts was also rejected because it would deepen the hierarchy of screen transitions.

As a result, I believe that the best way to satisfy the customer's request is to display the logical names in a separate box.
