Display Origin Dataset and Data Source Metadata for Virtualized Assets in CP4D Data Virtualization

Currently, when visualizing virtualized assets in CP4D Data Virtualization, the UI does not display metadata indicating the origin dataset or the data source used to create a specific virtualized asset. This lack of information makes it challenging to trace back and manage the data effectively.

Proposed Solution:

  • List View Enhancement: Add custom columns in the list view of virtualized assets to display the origin dataset and the data source.

  • Detail View Enhancement: Include metadata in the detail view of each virtualized asset showing the origin dataset and data source information.

Benefits:

  • Improved Data Lineage: Helps users easily identify where each virtualized asset originates from.

  • Enhanced Usability: Provides quick access to essential metadata, saving time and reducing the need for manual tracking.

  • Better Data Management: Facilitates more efficient management of virtualized assets, especially in complex environments.
