A the moment I have to set all parameters into a vault, if I choose "Use secrets from a vault". This is some sort of stupid, because in my opinion parameters like applicationname or client hostname have nothing todo with a secret.
Unfortunately here everything is in one package.
There should be the possibility to choose, if I want to take the name from a vault or just enter it. What I would want.

We currently don't have the lateest version of cp4d. We use 5.0.2 and in this version you must definitely put all parameters into the vault. it is not possible to not put some in a fault. For connection parameters like applicationname or client hostname it is very helpful to know what values are stored in the vault, but by storing all of them it gets a pain in the ass if you want to know what is in there.
I will test this again as soon as we are on 5.1.0. Maybe it gets better in this version.
Hi Peter! With our current implementation, credentials are returned from the vaults, and other non-sensitive information is stored in platform connection.
