The customer is using Watsonx.data with both Analytics Engine Spark and Native Spark. Over time, a large number of Spark applications and historical records have accumulated since last year.
While there is a workaround to remove some records from Native Spark (referencing this Slack thread), there is no apparent solution to remove records from Analytics Engine Spark (CP4D).
As a result, the customer is experiencing the following issues:
Timeouts when attempting to open the Spark applications page.
The Spark History Server frequently returns a 50X error on the first access, requiring multiple refreshes to view the page successfully.
These issues are impacting the customer's ability to manage and monitor their Spark workloads effectively. A solution is needed to address the excessive Spark history data and improve the stability of the Analytics Engine Spark interfaces.
