The deployment space should support custome container image.

My customers wanted to deploy llama-3-3-70b on CP4D 5.0.2 as custom foundation model.
But it failed because new architectural change (vLLM) was introduced in this llama model that is not supported by CP4D 5.0.2.
There is no valid workaround for this issue. The only way is to upgrade CP4D to the 5.1 version which supports the vLLM.
Refer to the case TS018408440 and https://github.ibm.com/NGP-TWC/ml-planning/issues/46048 for more details.

On the other hand, this model can be up and running using notebook in the project space by updating necessary python packages to the latest version such like transformers, torch, safetensors etc.
That means this model could be deployed on CP4D 5.0.2 if custom image is supported by deployment space.

This type of issue could be happening often in the future when new architectural change is introduced in new foundation models.
And upgrading CP4D version is not easy for customers because it requires money, time and human resources.

So I believe supporting custom container image in the deployment space is very important feature and must be supported ASAP.
