Expanded Locking Options and Partial Load Capability in DataGate GUI

Current Behavior:
When executing a LOAD operation through the DataGate GUI, the only available option is a full load with row-level locking. This limits flexibility for use cases that require partial data loading or alternative locking mechanisms to optimize performance and reduce contention.

Proposed Enhancement:
Enhance the DataGate GUI to support:

Partial Load Operations – Allow users to load a partition of a table.

Additional Locking Options – Include support for:

Table-level locking

Page-level locking

No locking (read-only scenarios)


This would allow users to select the most appropriate locking strategy based on their workload and concurrency requirements.

    I strongly endorse this proposal. The current setup in the DataGate GUI, which only permits full load operations with row-level locking, is quite limiting. Adding options for partial data loading and different locking mechanisms would significantly improve performance and reduce contention, making the tool more adaptable and efficient for diverse scenarios.
