Flexibility is needed during MDM/Match360 reconciliation—it should not have to wait for the CCS CR to reach a completed state.

We often need to make CCS-related changes outside of the custom resource (CR) because certain configurations are not yet exposed at the CR level. This requires placing the CCS CR in maintenance mode. If MDM reconciliation waits for the CCS CR to reach a completed state, we are forced to undo those external changes. Ideally, MDM/Match360 should be able to reconcile successfully without depending on the CCS CR status.

    Hi Chris, We submitted this Aha idea a couple of months ago. It has gained more visibility at our customer's sides, as it’s now impacting regular backup operations. We need to prioritize this enhancement or identify a workaround as soon as possible.

    • We have multiple CPD clusters with Match360 installed. We used to have it on their Development environment only.
    • On both clusters, Fusion backup is failing in the pre-check section because MDM CR is stuck inProgress state.
    • MDM CR is stuck inProgress state because it depends on CCS CR status, which is in "Maintenance".
    • CCS CR is in "Maintenance" mode because of the custom changes provided by IBM IKC team.

    Hi Chris, This continues to be a recurring challenge for our customers—MDM/Match360 reconciliation remains stuck in the In Progress state indefinitely when CCS is in maintenance mode.

    Is there an estimated timeline for when an enhancement for this issue will be available?
