Links to direct items within IKC do not work unless the user is logged into CP4D first

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

If we link to a specific asset, catalog, governance artifact, or any page within IKC and share that link. A user clicking on the link will ultimately receive an error unless they are first logged into the environment before clicking on the link. It will send them to a log in screen, but will throw an error after they try to authenticate. Need a way for the links to work and properly log in a user if they click it before having been logged into the CP4D environment for that session.

Hi - we are unable to recreate this behavior in our dev environment for v5.2. To test this,
    - identify target url (e.g. business term) and copy URL
    - log out of platform
    - paste URL into browser
    - user is taken to login screen
    - after login, user is directed to business term
