Add IBM App Connect Enterprise to CP4D

Request: Enhancing CP4D with Enterprise Integration Capabilities via IBM App Connect Enterprise

We propose the addition of a robust integration solution within Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D) to support Enterprise Integration Patterns. A suitable candidate for this capability is IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).

Currently, IBM MDM Standard Edition (SE) includes entitlement to IBM ACE, and many of our clients—particularly in the healthcare sector—leverage ACE for real-time, custom integrations with IBM MDM SE. These integrations often involve complex messaging standards such as HL7v2, HL7v3, and FHIR, as well as API-based interactions.

However, when recommending a transition to Match 360 on CP4D, we encounter significant resistance due to the lack of a native integration solution for real-time healthcare messaging. The only available options are to propose custom microservices or bespoke development efforts. From an RFP and client perception standpoint, this creates the impression that CP4D and Match 360 lack enterprise-grade integration support—an impression that can be a deal-breaker in regulated industries like healthcare.
