Request for OpenAPI Support in Db2 REST API Functionality

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

Hi team,
We would like to formally request that the REST API functionality in IBM Db2 be enhanced to support the OpenAPI standard.
We currently have a client who intends to develop REST APIs directly from Db2 and publish them in enterprise API catalogs such as API Connect on Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I). In order to ensure proper governance, documentation, discoverability, and interoperability, OpenAPI compliance is a critical requirement.
Support for OpenAPI would:

  • Allow seamless integration with API Connect and similar platforms.
  • Enable automatic generation of documentation and client SDKs.
  • Align Db2 with widely adopted industry standards for RESTful APIs.

We would greatly appreciate your consideration of this feature in upcoming releases of Db2,

Thank you for your attention to this request.
Best regards
