Set Up Saved Searches for All Users

I'd like to be able to save a search as an administrator and have it available to all users in global search or the catalog.

Saved searches could also appear in the search bar under "Try searching for." This would make things easier for users.

Hi Marcus, I'm part of Douglas's team.

We believe that if users could save their own searches to share, it would quickly become very cluttered and difficult to manage. It might be possible, but with very controlled governance.

Regarding the format in which these searches would be displayed, yes, something similar to what we already have for tags and business terms, but perhaps not in the same toolbar. We understand that each saved search is a combination of other filters, so we think this would work like a combination of filters in the backend.

    Hi Douglas,

From the attached screen shots, it looks like you want these searches available almost as a filter in global search (like with Business Terms, etc). Is that a correct interpretation? How many do you foresee having saved? Can you help us understand why you think this should be an administrative function and not something the users can set up for their needs?

    Thank you,

    Marcus
