A integrated solution for connecting external databases.

Today if you need a external database connection for Planning Analytics on CP4D, you need to provision a Windows server to run the ODBC connector to act as an intermediary between your ODBC data and Planning Analytics. Planning Analytics will point to the Windows Service/ODBC connector service as a data source.

CP4D already have a few options to connect to external databases inside the solution, although this solution is not integrated with Planning Analytics Instance. This Idea is to prevent that client needs to worry with one more external connection and the infrastructure related to maintain this connection, instead of using native CP4D connections.
