Introduce a “Metadata Import” capability within Data Virtualization

We request the addition of a “Metadata Import” capability for Data Virtualization to streamline and enhance the management of virtualized objects. 

This feature should allow the platform to automatically import and apply updates from the source system, including changes to table structures (such as new columns or adjustments to existing ones) and descriptive metadata. 

The enhancement should also enable the ingestion of table‑ and column‑level descriptions directly from the underlying database, ensuring that data definitions remain consistent, accurate, and aligned with the source. 

This functionality would significantly reduce manual effort, improve governance, and enhance the reliability of virtualized assets.
