Deleting the data Flows after rule execution

This idea is derived from CPDIDEAS-I-2537 specific for deleting the data flows with rule execution (as per IBM request).

IBM handling the rules execution flows deletion up to some extend. But still not a full proof solution.

#Flows not deleting for following scenarios –

  • Executing single rule from UI

  • Executing single rule via bundle

  • When bundle rules are bind to more than 1 source table

#Flows are deleting only with following 1 scenario –

  • the bundles(grouped rules execution) which are binded to same source table and should contain more than 1 rule

#Flows need to retain at DQ project level only if there is a need (for example any troubleshooting need)

Why flows are irrelevant ?

  • Each rule execution generate data flows which is an overhead in the Project. Reason is we have 50K execution per months and no need to retain those flows unless there is a need there

  • And also this deletion is handled partially which is an inconsistent
