Add support for Before SQL file and After SQL file e in the Redshift connector, similar to the existing functionality in the Teradata connector.

Our organization is currently migrating from Teradata to Amazon Redshift, and we have discovered a significant gap between the Teradata connector and the Redshift connector in IBM DataStage.

The Teradata connector currently provides the ability to specify:

  • Before SQL file – SQL statements executed prior to the main
  • After SQL file – SQL statements executed after the main

These capabilities are critical for our job, as we use before/after SQL files extensively

However, the Redshift connector does not offer Before SQL or After SQL execution file support, which is causing major challenges during our migration. We have a large number of DataStage jobs that depend on this functionality.

Requested Enhancement

Please enhance the Redshift connector to include support for:

  • Before SQL file (pre‑processing SQL execution)
  • After SQL file (post‑processing SQL execution)

Matching the feature parity with the Teradata connector will greatly simplify Redshift migrations, reduce risk, and improve operational consistency across connectors
