Workspace Cloud Pak for Data

Support for Multiple URLs for Cloud PAK for Data

Currently only one "main" URL is supported for Cloud PAK for data. We want to give an external partner access to cloud pak for Data, because this partner should develop for us.

To be able to expose cloud pak for data to the web we have to do three steps:

1) Define a new additional openshift route to cloud pak for data

2) create a loadbalancer in the openshift cluster to handle the external traffic

3) expose the url through our WAF

The steps 2 and 3 are on the way. Here is nothing todo.

For step 1 the ibm support helped us to create a second route for cloud pak. This involves multiple steps and big changes of the default cloud pak configuration.

Everything we did here was a "hack" and is not officially supported by IBM.

So we want you to integrate the steps into the product, so that it is very easy for a customer to setup multiple routes in cloud pak for data.

The best way would be to just have a gitops repo where we can add the additional url and the rest is handled by the system.
