RELATED IDEAS

Adding Create option in Table action section of Redshift Connector stage

Currently in Redshift Connector only have Append, Replace and Truncate options only. I am proposing to add Create option in Table Action section similar to Teradata Connector. This will enable option to create table if not exists. At present Append option is used to create table, which is confusing to developers.

To address below scenarios and avoid confusion, having CREATE option in Table Section will help

Scenario 1, How do we handle a scenario when table is decommissioned and developer forgets to decommission ETL job, in next run, ETL job will recreate the table which we assume is decommissioned. as of today, we get failures in next run and we remove the job related to decommissioned table.

Scenario 02, in development, if DA had not yet created the table and ETL developer runs the jobs they fail as of today, now ETL job can create tables with that settings and when DA submit the DDL thru CICD it will fail as table already exists.
