Updates :
March 28, 2024 - PX DR procedures were tested with ING and delivered in 4.8.x.
Next Steps : Understand the gaps on where ING is not able to execute the procedure
Hello,
As part of our process of testing Cloud Pak for Data 4.0.1 we want to test the Disaster Recovery process. However, this documentation page leads to the 3.5 doc: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/cloud-paks/cp-data/3.5.0?topic=SSQNUZ_3.5.0/cpd/admin/disaster-recovery-prereqs.html
Sincere there were a lot of architectural changes from 3.5 to 4.0.1, we have no confirmation that these old steps would work.
Peforming a DR scenario is a mandatory step we must do before being able to go to production with a product.
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for the information.
Do we have a GA date for 4.0.2?
KR,
Alex
Hi,
You are correct that the 3.5 DR process does not apply to 4.x. We are removing it from docs for 3.5 and 4.0.
We are working on a new DR strategy using a combination of external and internal tools for the future.
Meanwhile, CPD 4.0.2 has the ability to back up volumes and Kubernetes objects so the entire cluster can be backed up and restored on a DR site which should have cold openshift cluster already installed.
