CP4D 4.0.2 Datastage (Tahoe) – Apache Kafka Connector custom functionality

We need the possibility to extend the Apache Kafka Connector with custom functionality. We are using AVRO SerDe + Confluent Schema Registry but the message payload is encrypted using in-house libraries. When reading events, first we need to decrypt them and then deserialize.

In this case, the default AVRO SerDe will not work for us. Please provide a way in which the Kafka Connector can be extended with custom functionality based on our needs (provide a code template for the connector, get the possibility to implement the interfaces that the connector is using, how to build the connector, etc.)

We need a confirmation if this capability will be available in CP4D.
