Unable to add new columns to an existing asset in a catalog

We have a number of Data Virtualization assets in our Default Catalog that our data stewardship team has tagged with business terms and other WKC-related tags, but sometimes these assets are modified to add additional columns. Currently the only way we can get the Default Catalog to pick up those new columns is to drop it from the catalog and add the DV asset back again, but when we do this all the terms and tags get lost and the data stewardship team needs to manually add them back.

We are looking for an option to be able to add new columns to an existing asset and be able to re-profile those new columns so that we can add tags to those columns as well as data protection and enforcing rules with data classes
