The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
"If and only if" for indicator-constraints in MATLAB API
We use the CPLEX for MATLAB API to solve a MILP. In our case the bottleneck of the API is the limited functionality of indicator constraints. Whereas in OPL and the Java API an "if and only if" statement is possible, this functionality is missing in MATLAB.
Java and OPL offers both options: z = 0 -> x == 0 (in case x != 0 => z=0 or z=1) z = 0 x == 0 (in case x != 0 => z=1) MATLAB only one direction: z = 0 -> x == 0 (in case x != 0 => z=0 or z=1)
It would be helpful to have the operator also available in the MATLAB API.
When I try to import such a model through the MATLAB API, I get the error 'CPLEX encountered unsupported indicator constraints in a model file'
